Father, hear our prayer, with a heavy heart we are on our knees with hands lifted high as we praise your name and seek your voice. Quiet our soul, silence the noise as we draw near to you, give us ears to hear and eyes to see. Father, remind us all that we are first and foremost intercessors in Your mighty kingdom. Right now, I obediently lift up the leaders of our country in prayer, I place a hedge of protection over our President, his cabinet, and their families as they are faced with tough decisions and plenty of judgements and persecution. Let them feel a supernatural strength and give them wisdom as they are faced with tough decisions, because just as we are beginning to reopen our nation after a deadly virus that has left our country in shambles, we are faced with another crisis, a crisis of hate, racism, and division. A crisis that is bringing more destruction to an already fragile economy. A crisis that is destroying us a nation and as a community.
You have commanded us not to be terrified so give us courage, Lord because you have already warned us of these things that are transpiring, Your Word is being fulfilled right before our very eyes. Heavenly Father, give us an outpouring of wisdom so that we can keep watch over our tongue and bring it in align with how you have instructed us to live and to speak. Let us not grow cold to the events of that world that we become silent and numb, but if we must speak, Father help us be mindful of what we are sharing, expressing, and posting on our social media platforms. There are many people who are wounded, angered, and deeply disturbed by the current events unfolding. Our words and postings can tear down or they can build up, let us choose those things that speak life, bring comfort, build one another up, and bring us hope. Keep our eyes focused on you so that we donโt allow self-centeredness and bitterness to take root at a time when unity, love, and selflessness is desperately needed for healing. It is times like this when the condition of a personโs heart will be fully revealed, we are not to point fingers but rather recognize our own internal wounds and judgements that hinder us from seeking you and hinder us from speaking in a way that communicates the heart and nature of your son, Jesus Christ.
Father, I thank you for your mercy and grace, for the mistakes we have made and things we have done because we have operated out of anger and judgement and emotions that are not sanctified. Thank you for your forgiveness and give us the heart and capability to extend the same grace to others who have done and said things that have hurt or offended us. Continue to shine your light in all our dark places and continue to show us how much WE NEED YOU! We need you to speak to a hurting, scared world. We need you to win over a people who are watching us every day, We cannot do this without you, My Lord. Fill us with your Word, your ministry, and your instructions.
Deliver us from the spirit of division and racism. Division and racism are the works of the enemy, Division and racism is what destroys relationships, It is what destroys friendships, it destroys cities, and it destroys nations and a kingdom divided shall not stand. Division and racism breeds hate and destruction. So, If we must hate something, Father let us hate these things and not one another.
Begin a work of healing and restoration on our land and in the hearts of your people. Remove the roots of racism, bitterness, selfishness, and hate. Let us love one another deeply and guard our hearts so that we are not easily moved by the spirit of offense. Give us your words to speak, words that will comfort, exhort, and build up. Give us your words and give us Godly behaviors that will allow us to be a beacon of light during these times. Let us prepare our hearts, My King for the time is coming and your return is near.

Yes and Amen! I pray that we have eyes to see others like Christ sees them and that we love one another like He commands in John 13:34. He said, โA new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one anotherโ
When Jesus commanded us to love others, He didnโt say that we had to agree with them first.
As followers of Jesus, we should set the standard for respect and love because of who Jesus is in our lives.
